Hotelbeds Integration

The 2-way integration is already live. Contact our support@frontdeskmaster.com if you want to enable the connection.

Set max. number of rooms sold on channels at once

In order to improve your revenue management efforts, you can now limit the number of beds/rooms that are shown as available on booking portals at once.

Example:

  • Imagine that you have 10 double rooms available for next Saturday;
  • You set the limit to display maximum “3” rooms on portals at once;
  • Now, although you have 10 double rooms, there will be maximum 3 rooms displayed on the booking channels;
  • If you have 9,8,7…4 double rooms available, booking channels will still display only 3 rooms to be booked at once.

Contact us if you need help with setting this up.

New email keys

You can use the new emails keys: {Balance15}, {Balance20}, {Balance25}, {Balance30}, {Balance35}, {Balance40}, {Balance45}, {Balance50} to communicate to guests the % amount of the booking they need to prepay or they will be charged in advance.

Hostelworld improved its API. We are ready to support STOP SELL (=CLOSE ROOM) and Min. Stay per date.

City Benchmark report

Hello,

We are glad to inform you that we have made significant progress in upgrading our server infrastructure. The work is still in development, but as previously discussed, we are on our way to double the server capacity.

Today, we are re glad to inform you that a new City Benchmark Report is almost ready. The report allows benchmarking hostel or hotel performance versus City Average. You will be able to benchmark your occupancy or compare your pickup against the average pace recognized in the city. We hope you will enjoy the report.

Coupon (discounts) manager

Following your requests, we have added multiple options to coupon management.

You can now determine precisely when the coupon is valid or to which rate it applies. Check it out.

Pickup report

We significantly improved the pickup report which allows you precisely track how your hostel is acquiring bookings, for which periods in the future and how it compares to the past dates.

Group bookings optimization

We have worked with few hostels to improve the performance of functionality related to group bookings. Such activities as:

  • deleting bookings
  • adding rooms
  • editing prices in bookings

should now work significantly faster. Further works are in progress. Thanks for your help.

We are looking for raising stars!

A challenge for a Portuguese-Spanish speaking sales person is:

In next months, you will be introducing FrontDesk Master to dozens new customers. Some of them will contact you directly, some of them will be contacted (email or called) by you initially. You will demo the system (mostly online, rarely on site), explain its functionality and act as en expert who helps the user understand the benefits. Finally, you will help implementing the system at the ho(s)tel reception. You will be talking to many people from Latam and Europe, you will answer 3 billion questions and show people that you are their best friend they can always count on. They will love you and your work and they will join the vast group of FDM users.

Online Payments under way!

In the upcoming weeks, we will be launching the pilot program for automated payment processing.

How will it help you?

1) You will be able to automatically charge all Non-refundable reservations.

2) You will be able to automatically pre-authorize the credit card before guest arrival and let him know in case of a card failure.

3) Without charging the guest, you will be able to verify the validity of Booking.com-provided credit cards.
